CAPS LOSE TO EASTMAN IN MFMHL PLAY
Although the Caps kept the score close for two periods with intermission scores of 0-0 and 2-0 they could not find any offense and eventually wilted to the Eastman powerplay which tallied 4 times in the 5-0 outcome. The Caps were put on the penalty kill 8 times compared to 2 for Eastman with some very questionable calls being made against the Caps.
In the end it was still the Caps inability to score that was again the difference compared to their 4-2 win over Eastman the last time the 2 teams met. Bantam AP Elisha Oswald started in net for the Caps and was solid in her first start for the Caps as Eastman fired 32 shots at the net, many coming on the power play. The Caps responded with 21 at the Eastman net but continue not shoot enough off the cycle or miss the net too much.
The Caps now have a weekend off prior to 2 practices next week leading into a MFMHL matchup with Yellowhead in MacGregor on Thursday December 11 @ 7:15.
