CAPS PREPARE TO MOVE INTO NEW FULL TIME HOME

The Caps spent about 5 hours on Sunday painting and prepping their new full time dressing room at the Centennial Community Club in Portage la Prairie. The room which was created by the facilities' management group required reconstruction of 2 large rooms into 1, the addition of a shower/washroom space and the creation of dressing area for the players. The room provides enough space for the team to easily allow 20 players to have individual spots with storage for all their gear on 1/2 of the area and the other 1/2 having shower/washroom and shelfing space. The new Team Room allows the Capitals' Organization to continue to develop the program to a more and more elite level with CCCI facility becoming their home base for 95% of everything they do including dryland, practices and games.

The players, coaches plus a dedicated parent spent the Sunday taping, painting and cleaning the entire room followed by a team supper prior to having one of their best prctcies of the year. The entire situation has created a positive environment for the players and everyone involved with the team.

The room still requires some finishing touches however the Caps are looking forward to moving in permanently in the next week as they start practicing full time at the Centennial Community Club on Oct. 31.
