MFMHL Player of the Week
Elisha Oswald recorded the MFMHL’s first shut out of the year in leading the Capitals to a tough 1-0 win over the Westman Wildcats.
To date for the Capitals in MFMHL, exhibition and tournament play Oswald who hails from Waldersee has a 5-2-1 record with a 1.23 GAA and .949 save % including 3 shutouts.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Courlyn Oswald is the MFMHL Player of the week after scoring 5 goals and adding 1 assist in helping the Capitals pick up two wins over the weekend. Oswald the Capitals Captain hails from MacGregor and currently is fourth in MFMHL scoring with 15 points while leading the Capitals in season scoring notching 29 points (16 goals and 13 assists) in 23 games. Oswald is a strong two way player with speed who uses it to play a tenacious style in all three zones on the ice. A member of Team Manitoba Oswald helped Manitoba earn a Silver Medal at the Hockey Canada U18 National Championships in November.

Sheridan Oswald a forward with the Central Plains Capitals is the MFMHL Player of the Week. Oswald recorded 11 points as she scored 4 goals and added 7 assists during 3 Capitals' wins this past week to help Central Plains secure a top 4 finish the MFMHL standings and home ice advantage during the first round of the league Playoffs. Oswald is 6th in MFMHL scoring with 30 points and for the overall season is second on the Capitals with 39 points in 38 games. A Grade 9 Student from MacGregor Oswald is a Bantam Aged Player signed with the Midget AAA Capitals who is known for her speed, being one her team's top penalty killers and the ability to shut down other teams top players with her tenacious checking.

Tamara McVannel a defense with the Central Plains Capitals is the MFMHL Player of the Week. McVannel a first year midget in her second season with the Capitals registered a goal and 3 assists for 4 points while being plus 7 during two playoff wins vs. the Eastman Selects over the weekend helping the Capitals to a 2-0 lead in their Best of 5 series with Eastman. McVannel who hails from MacGregor has 3 goals and 17 assists for the Capitals this season while being a shutdown defense who is one of their top penalty killers.
