Blight -  2 assists / Kostenko - Hattrick and 2 assists / Nelissen - 3 assists / Vercaigne - goal and asist vs. Marauders
In losing 2-1 to the Vics the Caps outshot their opponents 14-5 in the 3rd period but could not get the equalizer in a physical contest. Natasha Kostenko scored the Caps lone goal with Alyson Vercaigne assisting. Jacey Schettler was solid in net stopping 22 of 24 shots as the Caps outshot the Vics 33-24 for the game. With the goalie pulled the Caps had numerous scoring chances but could not find the bounce to tie the game.
The final game of the weekend saw the Caps play the APHA Rangers and for the first time in their last 6 games they were outshot with the Rangers prevailing 3-0 as they scored a goal in each period. The Rangers directed 28 shots on net with Jessica Hewko having a solid game for the Caps between the pipes.    The Showcase was a good indicator to the Caps that they can compete with the top teams in the Province and what they need to work on over the next month.

Next  Action for the Caps is Saturday
