During the event the Caps defeated Winnipeg Blue (3-1), Norman (1-0) and Eastman (8-0) in Pool Play prior to defeating Winnipeg Gold (3-2) in their semi-final game. Team Central was easily the best defensive team in the event allowing only 4 goals in 5 games and offensively outshot and out chanced each of their opponents with only some excellent goaltending stopping them from earning Gold. The Caps competing all contributed as Tamara McVannel was solid defensively and was utilized as part of the power play and penalty kill units picking up an assit during the event.
