The MVP's for the female Capitals in 2014-15 were forward Sheridan Oswald and defenceman Tamara McVannel. Oswald, who also claimed the award for Most Assists and was a co-winner with defenceman Leandra Timmerman for the Sportsmanship-Leadership award, was second in scoring for Central Plains in Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League (MFMHL) play, recording 34 points (13-21) in 35 games.

McVannel, who was also a co-winner of the team’s Top Defensive Player award, led all Capitals’ defencemen in scoring in 2014-15, finishing with 24 points in (5-19) in 36 games. Goalies Lauren Taraschuk and Kathleen Kosior were the other co-winners of the Top Defensive Player award.

After recording four shutouts in six playoff starts, Taraschuk was chosen as the team’s Playoff MVP.

Emily Upgang was the team’s top scorer in 2014-15. The forward had 37 points (21-16) in 35 games, scoring at a 1.06 points per game pace.

The Coaches Award went to forward Chelsea Hallson and defenceman Timmerman.

Defenceman Marisa Fraser and forward Mekaela Fisher were named co-recipients of the female Capitals’ Most Improved Player award.
