SHERIDAN OSWALD
NAMED TO U18 TEAM CANADA
3 MFMHL PLAYERS NAMED TO CANADA'S U18 ROSTER


Sheridan Oswald has been selected by Hockey Canada to compete in the 2016 IIHF U18 World Championships. Sheridan becomes the first Capitals' Player to represent Canada and wear the Maple Leaf. Sheridan has been in the Capitals program for 5 years and been to two U18 Camps and an IIHF Female Camp however until now had never been selected to compete in an International Competition. Sheridan who is the Capitals all time leading point getter and one of their Captains had a tremendous U18 National Championship where along with teammates Emily Upgang and Mekaela Fisher helped Manitoba to a Silver Medal, Sheridan led the tournament in scoring.

The MFMHL will be well represented at the IIHF U18 World Championships scheduled for January 8-15, 2016 in St. Catharines Ontario. 5 Manitobans will wear the Maple Leaf and 3 are from the MFMHL. Along with Sheridan Oswald, Westman Wildcats Forward Ashton Bell and Yellowhead Chiefs Defense Jalyn Elmes will be competing for Team Canada.
